Small Groups

We believe that faith is best lived out in the context of community and that small groups are one way of doing that. We encourage you to consider being involved in a small group of some sort. Groups center around dialogue which pulls us together to share our lives and our journeys with one another.

Three main components of our small groups:
1) Spiritual Growth
2) Community and caring
3) Service to others

Check out the list below of our groups. E-mail us with questions or for more information on how to get connected with a particular group.

Financial Peace University

Do you feel like your finances are out of your control? Would you like to have better grasp on your money and learn how to take charge of it in a Biblical way? If so, Financial Peace University is the group for you. If you are interested, please let us know. Learn more about the course material at www.daveramsey.com

Movie Discussion

Do you love movies? Do you like to watch and discuss movies? We have a group that does just that. Get together regularly with a group of people to watch a film and then discuss how the film connects with life and faith. This group is temporarily on hiatus.  Send us an e-mail if you're interested, though.

Weekly Small Groups

Some of our small groups meet weekly. They gather in a variety of places at a variety of times. Basic format involves a lot of conversation and sharing life with one another. We also discuss the text for the upcoming Sunday's teaching time. If you're looking for a smaller place to get connected with people, this is it. Contact us and we'll connect you with a group. If you'd like to start a new group, please talk to one of the ministry staff persons.  We currently have two college small groups meeting and three adult groups meeting.  For a list of leaders, locations, and times, e-mail us for more information.

Nooma Discussions

If you are a college student and would like to connect with others your age, these groups might be the spot for you. Nooma films are high quality "shorts" that spur discussion. We are currently running a Nooma group on Wednesday nights at 7:00 pm at Journey during the summer for students to keep connected.
