Our Staff

Trevor Wright – Pastor

My wife, Lori, and I have been married for 17 years and have lived in Findlay since that time. Lori makes me a better man and keeps me young. I enjoy nerding out with books, going to the gym, supporting my kids in their activities, and cheering for the Pittsburgh Steelers. We have a 15-year-old daughter name Emma who is smarter than me, and a 13-year-old son named Cole who is 100% boy. Our third “child” is a little pup named Sable who enjoys snuggling on the couch.

My heart is to make_space in the Church for all who are seeking a connection with Jesus. If that’s you, then you’re welcome regardless of where you’re coming from and no matter your background, and I can’t wait to meet you.

Dave Noel – Pastor of Visitation & Care

I am a Hancock County native growing up in the Arcadia area where I still live with my wife, Kay.  I have two adult children. I was an electrician by trade, spent 30 years in public service as the Arcadia Village Administrator, and eventually felt called to ministry.  In 2001 I became a Licensed Local Pastor, at East Mount Zion United Methodist Church, and in 2012 added Vanlue Christ UMC to my role. I retired from vocational ministry in July of 2017, but still fely the tug of ministry. After several discussions (and many cups of coffee) with Pastor Trevor, I was excited to come on staff here in a role of care and visitation. I look forward to getting to know everyone and walking through milestones with this church community.

Ryan Clements – Worship Leader

Thanks for stopping by to visit – my name is Ryan Clements and I currently serve as worship leader here at Journey @ Christ Church.  I am the father of two great kids – my son Reece and my daughter Jenna.  I am exceedingly grateful for my wife and best friend, Andrea.  It’s our privilege to work at creating a community and environment where Christ is the center and conversation and dialogue craft us all into Christ-followers with passion for those outside the walls of the building.  I am a runner, a foodie, and an uncompromising fan of Star Wars and the Office.  Hope to see you soon!

Tammy Martin – Children’s Ministry Director

I was born and raised here in Findlay. After graduating from college, I spent 13 years in northwestern Minnesota where I met my husband on a blind date.  Prior to moving back to Ohio in 2011, and joining the staff at Journey, I served as a Youth Ministry Director and Second Grade Teacher. Our home is full of fur babies who love chasing squirrels, as well as lots of fishing equipment that’s caught up to an 85 lb. sturgeon. If you turn on our TV it’s likely to be on a sports channel or HGTV. Journey is a place where you can come as you are. I’m blessed to be chosen and used by God to create opportunities for our children and youth to grow closer to Jesus.

Erin Mitchell – Choir Director

I’m proud to have been a part of this church family since 1997. I live in Findlay with my husband, Mike, our furry kid (Izzy the rescue dog,) and a fish tank full of African cichlids. I have 2 adult stepchildren, Colin and Paige. I am a counselor with Lutheran Social Services in my “day job.” In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, doing assorted craft projects and gardening. I’m also a major football fan (go Packers!). Over the years, I’ve come to think of the choir as part of my extended family and we have a lot of fun together as we seek to bring God’s word to others through our voices. Of course, we always have room for new “family members!” We are very informal and the only membership requirement is to love singing!

Nathan Bigger – Office Administrator

I am originally from Missouri but have lived in nearly every corner of Ohio for the past 20 years. My beautiful wife Krista and I met at Ohio University and our love for all things Bobcat knows no bounds. We are blessed with two sweet, smart, and exhausting boys— JJ and Drew. Krista is a Findlay native and Director of Choirs at Findlay High School. My background is in theater performance and administration, but I have been a full-time stay at home parent for the better part of six years. I am thrilled to be back in the work force and look forward to meeting and serving this congregation.
