Our Staff

Trevor Wright – Pastor

My wife, Lori, and I have been married for 15 years and have lived in Findlay since that time. Lori makes me a better man and keeps me young. In my spare time I love to drive my Jeep around, paddle my kayak, or cheer for the Pittsburgh Steelers.

We have a 13-year-old daughter name Emma who is smarter than me, and a 11-year-old son named Cole who is 100% boy. Our third “child” is a little pup named Sable who enjoys snuggling on the couch.

Ryan Clements – Worship Leader

Thanks for stopping by to visit – my name is Ryan Clements and I currently serve as worship leader here at Journey @ Christ Church.  I am the father of two great kids – my son Reece and my daughter Jenna.  I am exceedingly grateful for my wife and best friend, Andrea.  It’s our privilege to work at creating a community and environment where Christ is the center and conversation and dialogue craft us all into Christ-followers with passion for those outside the walls of the building.  I am a runner, a foodie, and an uncompromising fan of Star Wars and the Office.  Hope to see you soon!

Tammy Martin – Children’s Ministry Director

Greetings! My name is Tammy Martin and I currently serve as the Children’s Ministry Director here at Journey@ Christ Church. My husband, Shannan, and I met on a blind date and have been married for 11 years. We have two furry children who love car rides, beggin strips, and chasing squirrels. My favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he will direct your paths.”

Erin Mitchell – Choir Director

My husband Mike and I have been married for 10 years and live in Findlay. I have 2 adult stepchildren, Colin and Paige, and one furry child (Ike the Jack Russell terrier). I’m currently working toward my master’s degree in counseling at Heidelberg University, and I have a “day job” working at CVS Pharmacy as a shift supervisor.

In my free time, I enjoy reading, working out, doing assorted craft projects and volunteering for Hancock Christian Clearing House. I’m also a major football fan (go Packers!). Over the years, I’ve come to think of the choir as part of my extended family and we have a lot of fun together as we seek to bring God’s word to others through our voices. Of course, we always have room for new “family members!”

Michelle Cheney – Secretary

My husband and I have four amazing children, a bright and beautiful daughter-in-law, and two of the most delightful granddaughters that grandparents could have. In my free time I enjoy volunteering, reading, cooking, and spending as much time with family as possible. I also enjoy being in nature and going on hikes with my husband, youngest son and granddaughters. My passion is working with children. I love the fact that I can help a child become a better reader and encourage excitement, all while silently praying that God touches their lives. My passion has led me to start, with the help of equally passionate people, an after school reading program for children with reading difficulties.

Sunday mornings have not been the same since attending Journey at Christ Church. As our oldest child often says, “Trevor has ruined all other churches for me.” Agreed. I’m honored to work beside Trevor and serve as the secretary for Journey at Christ Church.
