What To Expect

Our 9:00 service is traditional in style…

Our 9:00 service is traditional in style and is comprised of hymns, choral anthem, and some liturgical elements. We observe communion on the first Sunday of the month in this service. There is no nursery or kids’ church during this service, but activity bags are available for any children in attendance. After worship there is time and space to share in coffee and cookies. If you don’t need to dash off, we invite you to sit in the cafe and visit, or head down the hall for an adult Sunday class.

Our 11:00 Worship

Our 11:00 worship gathering offers a laid-back postmodern style. We feel that the vital components to worship include music, teaching & discussion, communion, and offering. Each week you will see these components, but they might move around in order. Regardless of order, they are all carefully planned to help us encounter the God who loves us. We celebrate communion every week and you’re welcome to participate regardless of your background, as long as you are seeking to be in relationship with Jesus.

Additional Tidbits about Sunday morning:

As you enter from Bigelow Ave., follow the front drive around to the back of the church and the main parking lot. The main entry is located along the circular drive off the parking lot. As you enter, the restrooms and kids rooms are off to the right. There is a table straight ahead which features guest information to help you learn more about the church. Straight ahead are the cafe and sanctuary area.

At 11:00, the nursery/playroom is located in the classroom wing to the right, the last door on the right. We have a wireless paging system outside the room so that you can check your child into the nursery/playroom and receive a pager. If your child needs you during the worship gathering you will be paged. Just a little peace of mind for you. There is also a room off the sanctuary where you can go if you baby needs a break but you can still participate in the worship.

At 11:00, Kids’ Church is for children ages Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Kids are invited to begin worship with us in the sanctuary and then following the singing portion are invited to move down the hall for their very own time of age-specific learning and play. The kids will learn the same story as is being discussed in the main worship. Youth in grades 3rd-5th are invited to stay in the worship space during the teaching time and then will be invited to the youth area for a time of discussion about the message.

Our Cafe is fully stocked with coffee, tea and snacks. Help yourself to anything and pull up a chair at one of the bistro tables. You are welcome to bring your drink or snack into the worship area with you.
